e30 theme tuesday - search results

Before I launch into today's Theme Tuesday let me say that I know very, very, little about the British Touring Car Championship series so if some of these are from a different series or something don't be surprised and feel free to let me know*. When it comes to BTCC I feel I'd safe putting money down that a lot of people are fans because the competition is fierce and the cars (for race cars) very closely resemble what you see out on the road.

If you Google 'Dat Ass Car, Dat Ass Stance, Stance Dat Ass' and so forth the first result you get is my last Theme Tuesday. While that's pretty awesome it made finding cars for the follow up a little harder than usual as I just kept ending up back here. But whats life without it's challenges right? A little changes in what I searched for and I was able to put together Dat Ass Part 2. Enjoy.

This is wild, just last week I was talking to my friends Jay and Mike at Stance Factory, who had seen Rusty and Mike in person last year, about the 'presence' this car had and now it's all over. As a a regular BMW forum reader when Mike first started with this car I remember a lot of the earlier phases of this car quite well, so while I was going to do a BMW 2002 Theme Tuesday today I figured a Rusty one would be more appropriate.

When I read a thread title on Maxbimmer this morning talking about an Electric e30 I nearly choked on my Mini Wheats, my immediate first thought was 'I would rather an eta(325e) over an electric e30!'. However curiosity got the best of me and I clicked through anyway and read the folllowing: "Rimac created a 900-horsepower beast that can hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, top out at 174 mph and – depending on how much he flexes his right foot – travel for over 100 miles on charge."

One 'drawback' to compiling the Classy Car Model Theme Tuesdays is that I often end up coming across lots of photos of women with cars that are the standard fare, you know, the scantily clad woman with a nice car type of photo. All of the photos in today's post were chosen because of the car in the photo, the woman in the photo, or the photography, I'll leave it to you guys to speculate in the comments what was the determining factor in each. Not too long ago I was challenged to do a Volvo 240 Theme Tuesday by the human car encyclopedia Joe. Initially I thought this would be hard to pull together as after a few weeks I only had a handful of 240s and 244's saved. That was until I decided to go over to TurboBricks.com once I was there the list came together very well and very fast. I always kind of knew older Volvos had a following but I didn't know people were as faithful to these as they are e30s.

After doing MKII Golf's last week it became pretty apparent that there are quite a few MKI fans that check out the site. So to follow up I decided a collection of MKI's was in order, the rest of the generations have been added to the to do list as well so don't fret MKIII and on drivers :)

A couple weeks ago, in the "Rolling Shots Part 2" Theme Tuesday I made mention of the fact I was working on an all rig shot themed post. After searching a few forums I have come up with the following collection of photos. You will probably notice that many share the same watermark and that's because those who take rig shots well take them often.

I've always liked VW Corrados, probably because I like Sciroccos quite a bit as well and they share a similar feel. While their reliability might be up for question but their ability to look good dumped on a clean set of rims isn't. It's a damn shame that they came fwd as a sliding Corrado would be a treat.

Being a competitor of the ever loved e30 m3 in the DTM days I initially thought that this Theme Tuesday would practically pull itself together. However I was wrong and it actually took a lot longer than I thought to get a decent collection together. But after a few days I was able to get something going, hope you enjoy.
