WTF Friday: Lowrider style Auburn Speedster
Until this car I had never heard of Auburn in the autmotive context (only bmx) however when I saw this car I instantly became interested. After a quick stop on wiki I learned that Auburn's only existed way before my time (1900-1936) before going under due to the fact that their cars, while beautiful, were not really priced correct for the depression era.
Unsurprisingly, today, both Auburns and Auburn replica Auburns are quite rare which is what makes this car even more unique.
WTF Friday: Skynoma?
Being a member of s10forum I am not really sure how I missed this build where an s10 owner put an rb20det in an s10 but I did.
I had no idea this even happened until I saw a video clip on my friend Jesse's new blog Dorimoto and my interest was peaked.
WTF Friday: Bulgaria’s potholes are no joke
I Saw these photos on the Stance Works forums and I was awe struck. We have some pot holes here that are worth avoiding but it seems like Bulgaria has craters which the refer to as pot holes.
These are not rota's getting mangled either authentic BBS wheels just getting disrespected something fierce. It's enough to make a wheel whore cry.
White Letters
I hardly ever post on Saturday, more so this early on a Saturday, but an s2k dumped on one of my favorite rims with meaty white letter Falkens and minimal stretch? I like this, I like this a lot.
Props to the owner and the photographer as both the car and photography are well put together.
WTF Friday: What Was I
While thinking of what to post today it occurred to me that it's been awhile since I've done a good ol' guessing game post.
A big contributing factor to this is that I've got some of the smartest car nuts on the web as my readers who seem to know something about everything.
However I may have something today that's been modified to the point where the answer may not be immediately apparent.
WTF Friday: Rocket Powered Go Kart!?
I go to a lot of car shows, as you probably already know from my event coverage, and doing so I see a lot of crazy things: insane and interesting motor swaps, slammed International trucks, and lots of scantily clad women are pretty much par for the course.
However what is not par for the course is what I saw at last Saturdays Street Classics Cruise In.
While slowly making my way outward from the ice cream truck I saw an older looking go kart sitting on the ground beside a Jr Dragster.
Readers rides: Facebook fans part 2
Since I added the Facebook 'like' button to the post pages last night I figured today would be the perfect time to do another edition of 'Readers Rides' from the facebook fan page.
The fan page has been really active lately so it you are not a fan already take a look as I often post things on there that don't make it here, and generally try and be just as interactive on there as I am here.
Anyway, enough plugs, let's check out some of your rides.
Worked 905 gettin busy
Remember the J-32 powered, Worked 905, Honda Civic I posted in the 'Unique Local Motor Swaps' Theme Tuesday? The same one I saw at Honda-Tech 6 and Vagkraft last year and the same one that was featured on The Chronicles and in the pages of Honda Tuning? If none of this rings a bell click here for quick reminder.
Multi Purpose Wheels
I've got a serious amount of photos from Tuners Against Street Racing to sort through and I knew I wasn't going to have them edited and posted before I left for work today so for this Monday morning I thought I would share what a local, female, BBS/Euro/Slam lover has been doing with her set of custom 17X9 et 20 and 17X10.5 et 28 pink BBS RS wheels.
The final destination of these wheels was an e46 but they made a few different stops along the way...
WTF Friday: One year already?
Before I jump into today's WTF Friday (a fast Saturn) I thought I should mention that a year ago today was when I published the first post on stanceiseverything.com
It's really exciting that an idea that took losing my job to become reality has come this far in such a short time. Now 13 Featured Rides, 36 covered Events, 49 Theme Tuesdays, and 975 comments later S.I.E. is still here and going strong.
Thanks to everyone reading this, this site/blog wouldn't be what it is today without you keeping me motivated. Now without further adieu today's WTF Friday.
