My mother, who is not a car person by any means, has always had a thing for Jaguars. My father, who is what we can say now a dormant car guy, always swore them off is unreliable and expensive to operate.
I, (outside of the e type which everyone loves) have never really had much of an opinion about them one way or another. Visually I like some, and I get a kick out of seeing them race, but I don’t think I’ve ever been in one nor am I inclined to ever want to own one.
However I’ve dedicated many a Theme Tuesday to cars I’ve never been in, and probably won’t ever own, so what’s one more?
I have unfortunately never seen this car and its eccentric pilots on the road course again, shame as it was cool to see out thereThis car was the topic of a WTF Friday many moons agoSomething so wrong it is right about itThis 81 Jag XJS from the auto show a few years ago, beautiful functional carNo doubt many purists still screaming over this one…this one too for that matter (which has been blended with an e30)
Here’s a more standard edition for a local cruise-inAnd another from an even earlier cruise-inThe Eagle Speedster, the E type rebornFamously featured on Top Gear
This is such a clean car, I think it is bagged too if I am not mistakenAnyone who dips in and out of the Stance Works forums has likely seen this carThat tuck life..
Not exactly sure the method of paint used on this car but it is pretty unique‘J-Complete’ out of Japan is basically running things when it comes to VIP Jaguars
All of their builds are well done really…
…but this is probably my favourite, it’s an old photo and old build but it’s still pretty impactfulThis Liberty VIP car was one of my favourite North American Jaguar XJ builds but sadly it’s cruising in the sky now after a particularly bad bottom out
Going to close things out with a car I’ve been hoping to see more of since the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this yearDino at Speedhunters teased at an upcoming feature so fingers crossed!
I love that weird drip-like paint style. Really curious as to how that effect is achieved. Looks mad with the matching wheels too!
I saw the drip effect done once before with an acidic material poured over a copper finish. I’ll see what I can dig up on this
