In an effort to be the home for photos of damn near every outside the box platform or niche lowered vehicle, this week’s Theme Tuesday is dedicated to the Ford Crown Victoria.
With so many Police Interceptors making their way into public hands many of these cars throw back to their service days in styling, but there are a few that buck the trend and go their own route.
Kick things off with this Crown Vic that was built by Ford many moons ago

The Fire Breather under the hood
The story goes that this car was driven at essentially one event then taken apart soon thereafter when Ford pulled the plug. Anti climactic end to what looked to be a decently performing car
Interestingly enough the car above was not the only ‘vic, or in this case its Mercury cousin, on BBS (or maybe BBS styled) wheels
Chose this one purely based on the name of the article, the owner even calls it an obese Mustang with a ton of potential in the feature article
One of only 18 ‘Cobra Vics’, these were originally built for driving schools before ending up in Private hands. More info is here
Grand Marquis drag strip terror
Police themed lowriders have been around for years so a Crown Vic model is not a huge surprise
Now that I think about it I have never seen this car again
This car came up several times when searching for modified Crown Victorias
Apparently it was painted later so it could also be this car, but it also might not be…
A non black, white, or blue, example at H2O a few years back
Kevin Quezada’s Crown Vic which was shared on the Facebook page
Nice touch with the antennas on the trunk still, I bet a lot of people would pull over for this one
Spotted at Lone Star Throwdown this weekend by Todd Robinson , tried to find more pics but nothing yet but when I do I will add them here, the rear specs look super wide
I think from here down this is all @steelhoover
He’s done a wicked job with his!
