I am sure some of you have noticed that the site has been crawling lately. The home page can take up to 14 seconds to load and sometimes the admin page takes 43 seconds. Lame and annoying.
Therefore on August 15th between between 8-12pm Eastern Daylight time I am going to try a few different ways to increase the performance of the site. Hopefully after that the site is back up to snuff. If not time to work on version 2.0
I removed the popularity plug in, don’t think you guys will miss it and I went from 21 seconds on the home page to 6ish.
Continuing some smaller changes now but I think that was the big killer.
